Final Report: Train Derailment near Cade, LA (Lafayette subdivision)

On Monday, August 21, 2023 at 5:03 p.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Cade, LA which has affected the main track. Cade, LA is approximately 13 miles south of Lafayette, LA. BNSF field personnel responded and assessed the derailment site. The main track was returned to service on Wednesday, August 23rd at 11:30 a.m. CDT
