Initial Report Train Derailment near Socorro NM El Paso Subdivision
On Monday, March 25, 2024 at approximately 11:03 p.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Socorro, NM. which affected the main track. Socorro, NM is approximately 76 miles south of Albuquerque, NM. BNSF field personnel are responding to assess the derailment site. The estimated time for opening the main track has yet to be determined.
