Update Report Train Derailment near Wellington KS Panhandle Subdivision

On Thursday, September 14th,2023 at approximately 03:30. P.M CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Wellington, KS which has affected the main track. Wellington, KS is approximately 34 miles southwest of Wichita, KS. BNSF field personnel are responding to assess the derailment site. The estimated opening for main track 1 is Friday, September 15, 2023 at 7:00 a.m., CDT.  The estimated opening for main track 2 is Friday, September 15, 2023 at 1000 a.m., CDT
