UPDATE - The Mexico-U.S. Border at Eagle Pass and El Paso Remains Closed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection

BNSF has maintained regular communication with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) following Monday’s closure of the Eagle Pass and El Paso border crossings, urging CBP to resolve the issue and re-open the crossings. At this time, we have not received an estimated timeline for resuming cross-border movements.

We are also working with multiple federal agencies to educate them on the impacts from these closures, and in addition remain in touch with key Congressional offices as we work to resolve this issue.

We will continue to provide you updates as developments occur in our effort to resume moving traffic at both the Eagle Pass and El Paso crossings.
